A true 2 inch lift kit
« on: December 16, 2016, 07:29:07 PM »
Me and my friend are fabricators and was considering making a laser cut 2 inch lift for the cfmoto zforce 800 and probably for the uforce. Would there be a lot of interest?

I bought a lift for the rzr800 and made it fit to the zforce. The design they have is crappy the top bolts for the strut were too close to the edge of the piece, but if you want a template to go off of they are decent. A friend of mine has a machine shop we were thinking of doing the same thing making them better and putting a set of holes half way up so you could adjust  from 1" or 2".

I would recommend tac welding. One of the brackets can go inside the existing bracket giving it something to support it, but the other bracket would need to be on the outside of the existing mount leaving nothing for it to sit on so I would weld that one. Unless you shave the shock spacer so it could fit in between the brackets if both were placed inside the stock mounts. Or you could make stepped brackets but that would be more work than its worth I think.

I would order one for the Z Force 800 53" model as long as it doesn't drastically change the dynamics of the vehicles operation and was reasonably priced!  :)

You Zforce/Uforce guys are not alone in your search for a simple 2" bracket lift. I have been chasing down leads for a 2" lift for my Wildcat Trail for at least 6 months now, with no definitive aftermarket bracket lift made for a Wildcat Trail. Several guys have bought a Polaris Rzr or Prowler bracket lift and adapted it to fit a Wildcat, but I want a simple bolt on lift with no cutting/welding/shimming needed.

There is an advertised 2-3" lift showing up on Ebay or online parts shops, but they all use a front bracket that won't work with my AC underhood storage box, and they also use rear 2" spacers instead of the proper bracket to achieve that lift.

I have got the SolidWorks drawings done. Will sending it off to the laser cutting shop next week. We are going for a straight bolt on no drilling, welding, or anything like that. The reasoning is that if you don't like the lift then you you can remove it and everything will be back to normal. I will post picks of the parts when they come from the machine shop.

I would love to see those brackets !  I'm curious if they'd fit on my Wildcat.

I truly am looking forward to seeing this completed.  This is one of main concerns I've had with my Z Force 800 53"... lack of clearance!

I am not an engineer but I basically stole the idea from the RZR 800 2 inch lift and made some modification to fit the ZForce.
