Hi everyone. New here. Came over to ask for help regarding my friend's 2018 UForce 500.

It has a bit of a rattle when it drives.

As you can see, there's an unusual angle going on with the drive shaft or U-joint that now causes the end of the driveshaft to rub up against the sway bar and it actually broke this collar piece off as a result and can now be moved freely by hand. You can also see there's a mount that the differential is supposed to mount to that's broken.

I wonder if this could be a chain reaction from the mount going then allowing the differential to tilt and cause this angle on the U-joint and driveshaft...or if these are separate events?

Is the driveshaft or the U-joint toast? Or is it just that mount needs to be fixed?

Any words would be appreciated, thanks much.

Clearly the diff mounts are broken and will need fixed. Once the pinion angle is corrected you can asses the yoke and u-joint damage. The CV boot in the pic will also have to be replaced but check that cv joint...it may be shot already.
