Just purchased this a few days ago. It was hard to start, pump the gas and hold the choke it it would finally start and run fine.

Today I checked the valves and they were slightly out so adjusted them. Pulled the top off of the carburetor to see if the choke was closing and now it won's start.

The fuel pump is pumping up, plenty of fuel to the carb but it is not getting pulled in. The hose between the carb and head is blowing out as I crank it? Not sure what is going on, any ideas?

What year 500 is this? And what type..ie CF, ZF, UF, X5...ect.

Here is a photo.
Only adjusted intake not exhaust.
The vac line between the carb and head was plugged off, just removed to see if that was causing an issue.
Other hose on carb which I think is a breather was also plugged off.

So i know this is from 3 years ago, and your unit is probly long gone by now, but i am having a very similar issue that yours seems to follow almost to a "T".... I am racking my head against a wall trying to figure out what is going on and i feel like you ( having the same motor and hurdles to jump through) would have some insight that the new EFI owners dont... so if you would be willing to check out my post it would be GREATLY appreciated!
