Happy New Year!

I decided to splurge this year for Christmas and I purchased a Stingray Mods helix and clutch kit.  At the same time I decided to store the battery inside for the winter.  Well, I noticed my battery terminals had cracked so I need to repair that.  When I got the new clutch kit in, I was tightening the nut on the primary to finish it all up and I sheared the threads of the shaft off!  Yes, I was using an impact, BUT, I was using an 80ft.lb. torque limiter.  I'm wondering since it was reverse thread if the limiter stick doesn't function in reverse....lesson learned.  Also, I noticed my exhaust has cracked in the manifold where it attaches to the cvt housing.  I have pinged the dealer to see if they will warranty this even though I am out of my warranty.  What a great start to the new year lol.

Thanks.  I was able to source a used primary clutch and I used the sheve with the shaft on it as a replacement.  I didn't line up any lines though since it didn't come from that clutch.  Do you think it will be out of balance?  I also installed a new oem belt and cleaned up both sheves with some 600 grit and fine steel wool.

Thanks

I only know replacement clutch parts are balanced by themselves but complete assemblies are balanced all together so..I would assume there will be some out-of-balance vibration but how much is unknown. If it were directly on the crankshaft I would be more concerned but being a separate shaft...other then being a little tough on the bearings it's probably not worth worrying about. Still, if you can feel it..it will be a problem for sure.
