I am a new dealer up here in VT. We have been selling used units for 17 years and recently had the opportunity to become a CF Moto dealer.  We warranty ALL of the 150 units we sell for a minimum of 90 days.  We have found that spending more time and $ before it leaves, mean less time after the sale.   I am wondering about any common issues there are across the product line?   I'd rather spend $100 during the setup of a new machine than have it come back a few times or a few weeks later.
     I already read about the air filters on the 800 Z force as well as the A arms loosening up.  I plan on replacing the air cleaners with twin air and addressing the bolts before they go home for the first time.   Any and all info on any models would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Thanks for the interest. Your customers will appreciate the little extra in dealer prep and will help a great deal with overall customer satisfaction.

You got the air filter and the a-arm bolts. Some have had issues with steering stem mount bolts and u-joint pinch bolts. Also, many of the 53s rear lower a-arms have an extra hole drilled in the tube that face the welded tubes that head to the knuckle. This prevents grease from reaching through the bushings and just fills the a-arm. If your tech greases these and can't get any to come out the bushings, this is the problem. I had to plug mine with steel caps.  Also, my brake disks were covered with I think was an anti-rust coating my dealer didn't clean off. This made for near-no brakes until I cleaned and the pads wore off that was on them. I also had an issue with the adjustment of the shifter. The detents on the console were out of line slightly with the transmission's. An easy adjustment. Some have mentioned loose rear gear case mounting bolts. Many including myself have has to adjust or replace the exhaust springs as they are set too loose or weak.

I did find a lack of grease on my unit. Just by being informed and being proactive will earn you a good reputation. I wish you well and hope to see you here on the forum often.

Welcome to the forum - great to see you're trying to get ahead on potential issues for the customer.

When I had mine the only issues I can speak to are the springs rubbing the shock reservoirs (nothing you can do about that until it's got some use) and grease, grease, grease those fittings. I had a case of the squeaks in almost no time, but some good grease with limited solubility took care of it immediately - I like Green Grease.  My bushings definitely didn't have enough to start with.
