I have 2 questions as a new owner - What is the consensus on Wheel spaces ? Do they help in handling at all and secondly what are you running for a spare tire/wheel that will work for both front and rear ?
On an EX wheel spacers generally are not necessary and on a trail there is a slight stability increase. On handling no spacer effects the geometry in a positive manor as it increases bump-steer, extra wear on bearings and bushings and increases the likely hood of bent tie rods and racks. If you must , then limit them to 1.5". On wheels, if you are still running the stock wheels, and need a spare, then get one for the front as they will fit both and are lighter then the rears. Most just use decent tires and carry plug/repair kits and a small compressor. That's what I do.
