Good Morning,

I am having trouble starting my sxs. The starter is engaging but the motor is not turning over. I took it to a shop and they figured it was one of the gears. They took off the cover but all seems ok with the gears and are unsure as to what it is. On Monday they are going to put the cover back on to see if it engages.
Anyone every had this problem?

If the motor rotates and there is no stripped teeth on any gears yet the engine won't rotate, the oneway bearing or clutch is toast and must be replaced. Easy but you will need a puller for the rotor/flywheel. If your shop doesn't know this..I would find another shop because most all makes have these.
