2022 CFMoto Zforce 800 Trail

*** Price Reduced*** now listed for $12,900, camper / gear trailer reduced to $7,900

Michigan street legal - registered as an assembled vehicle - kit car, rat rod, street rod, etc.

Multiple blog posts with many photos about the build: https://jchobbes.net/blog-posts/

I have well over $20,000.00 invested, listing for $15,000.00. I paid $15,315.68 to Zeigler Motorsports in Kalamazoo, MI on 08/12/2022 - price included installation of Ice Crusher cab heater.

Upfitted / modded for full time, long distance off road yondering (overlanding). My spreadsheet calculations were somehow way off, the gear trailer / camper & machine turned out to be grossly over weight on truck stop scale. I drove from Battle Creek, MI to Mackinaw City, MI, about 300 miles pulling the trailer. I decided not to continue and returned to Battle Creek, as the excessive weight would have quickly ruined the hitch / frame of the machine. Camper trailer is for sale separately.

The unsightly RV sealing tape on the edge of the roof is to minimize water intrusion when raining. There is a huge gap between the windshield & roof.

If it's just the hitch you could always have a better one installed. You have so much into it now it's a shame to start all over...or is it the 800 just didn't have the stuff to deal with the trailer...

The Zforce pulled like a farm tractor with the torque optimized clutch kit, hauling the weight was zero issue. There was so much excessive weight I was concerned it could eventually rip the frame apart. Would have been very bad if I had been 100 miles from anywhere & frame broke.

The whole experience was bad, camping, weather, everything. I bought a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road & have a real camper on order, photo attached. It was an expensive experience, but had I not done it, it would have bugged me the rest of my life.

I lowered the price of machine & camper. Both are on Facebook / Craigslist in Michigan.

Nice, but if you think you spent a lot on your CFMoto and trailer setup for camping, just wait and see how much you'll sink into the RV setup when you start down that rabbit hole.  LOL

I trailer my Zforce 800 Trail behind a Class C, and sometimes flat tow a Jeep or a Chevy Spark.  On my 6th RV, second Jeep, and second UTV, not to mention all the trailers, motorcycles and scooters  I've gone thru.  Waiting on delivery of my new Class C now as I sold my previous RV in May. This lifestyle isn't cheap by any means - lots of fun, but certainly not inexpensive!

I'm already down the rabbit hole  8)  The Tacoma is going to remain stock except for a winch bumper / winch & an Australian soft topper https://www.wild-top.com/. I added a few options to the camper when I ordered it, estimated delivery date is end of August to early September. I was full time RV'r for a couple years in a 34ft class A, off grid except for winter when I rented a long term spot with full hookup & had 100 gallon LP tank set.
