wheel bearing greaser
« on: March 26, 2021, 07:05:01 AM »
Hi Gentlemen and ladies, I'm looking for information on a wheel bearing greaser for a 2018 Cforce 800xc.
did search here nothing usable for size.
nearest I can figure
the bearing is a DAC3055W - ID 30MMx OD 55mmx Width 32mm
So the question is where to buy the proper greaser for a 30mm bearing that does not require the axle to be removed
thanks in advance for any information supplied
Don

To my knowledge all bearing greasers have to slide into the inner race to push grease through the mid split...and it can not do that with the axle in place. However...many years ago...I do remember something about one that could force grease between the axle and race by taking the nut off and screwing this greaser onto the shaft and down against the bearing. I have never seen.. it not heard of it again. May not be made anymore as I'm sure it pushed the additional trash from between the axle and bearing through the bearing as well. If you find one..post it here. I would be interested to see if it is still made.

I’ve seen everything from 35mm to 44 mm but not seen 30mm
Most now a days you remove the tire and hub then insert greaser with axle sitting in the middle, grease then reassemble the hub and tighten the axle

neither one of them leaves the axle in place so you have to disassemble the bearing holder and remove it to grease them, looking to minimize the disassembly

Hi Don,
Incorrectly angled grease nipples or grease nipples that point straight such that you cannot apply a grease gun is a common problem with a large majority of quad bike manufactures. Unless that is one has the cash to flash on a CanAm. They do this to simply cut costs with little fore sight for aftercare maintenance requirements.
However, it’s a simple fix that does not require the removal of hubs.
Establish the thread type and size of your grease nipples, more than likely to be M6 Hydraulic Nipples Zerk 6mm x 1mm Pitch Thread on a CFMOTO.
Get a 5 pack of 4 M6 Hydraulic Angled Grease Nipple Nipples Zerk 6mm x 1mm Pitch Thread 90° Angle 90 Degree.
Also get a pack of 4 M6 Hydraulic Angled Grease Nipple Nipples Zerk 6mm x 1mm Pitch Thread 45°Angle 45 Degree.
Remove the existing straight nipples an replace with a 45- or 90-degree nipple.
Then onto Amazon to locate a supplier of these nipple types, I would normally provide links but these are UK suppliers. I sure you will locate a supplier on Amazon in Canada.
