Hi all is it normal to get a lot of heat around your legs from the engine as your riding about?? My legs got that hot I had to stop as was getting very uncomfortable.

My 550 HO did the same thing first ride out, I ended up pulling it apart and replacing all the insulation were the exhaust and top of the motor on both sides and it has really helped. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos when i did it.

It's a big motor, keep an eye on the temperature on the dash. Mine typically runs 2-3 bars and I don't notice an abnormal amount of heat unless I hit a puddle then the steam comes up on my legs and that can get uncomfortable at times. But that isn't specific to CFMoto, that is the same thing that happens to me on any ATV.

They do sell a bigger radiator for the 800 I was considering it. Mine also runs hot. On the bright side feels great in the winter!
