I hate to tell you this but...IMO..that sounds very much like a rod bearing gone. I wouldn't run it anymore until you know for sure...if it is, it's getting very loose and about to through a rod.

Just to refresh your memory, Please help me with this" It has had a small "knocking" Noise near my right break foot. The noise has gotten louder in the past 6 months and I was going 60 MPG the other day and the ATV just Stopped!  The rear tires locked up getting me almost out of control. After I caught my breath, I tried to restart and it would bearly turn over, started and then rapid stop."
This happened 3 times in the last year.......

Well, I guess it can't hurt to pull that cover and check out the wet clutch. Maybe it has come apart.

Sorry, it has been a while, OK all I get one chance at this, most of you will call this stupid but because I am in here I am replacing the clutch anyways and not going to run this dry LOL.
Here is what I have...... Where, and what now? It would not turn over before this with the cover on. The slow start is 9 Volts in the battery. Happy helping!@#$%^&*() :) ;D

Why only 9 volts on the battery? Makes it act partly seized. When running I hear tappets and..something else..not sure.

OK, I agree, does about the same thing with 12-volt jumper box, when it is running is the noise normal? With the case open?

Don't forget "only driven on Sundays"  :)

Those are all bad sounds & not good. By letting the noise develop the damage increases, in some cases it goes from minor to major. Based on how it sounds I will go with major.
