Driven Pulley Socket Size
« on: May 07, 2016, 12:00:40 AM »
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows what size the nut is for the driven pulley on the CForce 800? I don't have a big enough socket on hand and I was hoping I would only have to buy 1 if anyone knew what size it is. I have a 32MM that fits the drive pulley and it's bigger than that.

Also what type of grease are you guys using on the rollers?

Finally while I'm in there has anyone played around with different springs, shims or slugs on these? I was thinking about slugging it, because the pickup is just a bit slow, any advice?

The nut that I'm wondering the size is circled below:

36mm. And no grease on the rollers, just clean and dry. Re-clock the secondary/driven clutch up a notch to C1. We have bids on doing it.

I measured mine than ordered a 35mm. If you used a 36mm than I better make sure I have one too. Hate waiting on stuff when I have limited time to get things done.

Yeah it measures like 35.056 but a 35mm socket won't fit. I know as I have a full set and tried. It takes a 36mm socket.

Thanks. I'll check if I have one, if not it will be on order. Thanks to the OP, I would have been blurting out a long string of choice words once I found my socket didn't fit.

The OP did ask what size it was for the 800s. I don't know what it is for the 600s. Probably the same.

Thank you, the 36MM fit perfect on mine.

I have one more question, on the parts diagram they show a "washer ( 8 )" on the secondary:

I didn't have one in mine when I took it apart, should this be cause for alarm? This is where my belt sits:

Man that's close to being too high but... it's OK. With the shim/washer the factory must have found it to be under spec so they left it out.
