Coolent and oil Leak .....

 I  purchased a new 2015 CF Moto 800 (2-up) however its had very little use 225km  in a year 1/2. So far so good

Seems hit or miss on the leak stopping on its own. The oil leak is probably as you guessed, the seal. Check the manual to see how that is put together. Might not be that bad to replace. If dealer service is bad I just do it myself if it's an inexpensive repair. You shouldn't have to but it will at least get done.
