I have been getting a squeaking from the back brakes for a while now. I would only get it when bike was sitting for a while. It would go away after a ride. It seens now I have no foot brake. I checked pads and there are grate. I am getting a very small bit of compression on the piston, but no stopping power... Fueled is toped up. I bleed the brakes to see if air got in but still foot brake leave is soft.  Any one???

One of the things that causes squeaking and poor stopping power on the Zs is that the slides that auto-adjust the caliper as the pad wears sieze and stop moving. That makes the piston bare pressure only against one pad and one side of the rotor instead of pinching the rotor between the two pads. I found that all mine had either one or both slides seized. I now have much improved brakes and even better...no squeaking! :)
