2016 CForce 800 driven pulley doubts...
« on: July 02, 2023, 06:03:02 PM »
Hello guys. My CF 800 was made in 2016, it has very few kilometers (2500). I never changed the belt. I was cheking it, and I saw something that catched my eye in the driven pulley.

As you can see in the first pictura, the belt is not evenly distributed in the driven pulley when the engine is off. I pops from the upper side, and gets inside the pulley in te opposite side. When I turn on the engine, and gas it, it works OK.

So, I measured the gap between the two faces of the pulley, in two different positions, and I see that the space is not the same. On one side the value is 42 mm, and from the other side 37 mm. It means that the pulley is not parallel when it is off.

Is this normal, or I have some issue with my driven pulley? You can also see in the pictures, that the surface of the belt is scratched, because it is touching the case when it starts moving. Regards,

Well, if the bushing in the movable sheave was warn the belt would still self-center so the only conclusion I can think of is that one or the other sheave is bent or warped. In either case it needs fixed or replaced. I would remove it and give it a close inspection...then disassemble it.

Thank you for your prompt answer. I'll try to diassemble the pulleys this week, in order to clean and check both of them. If I have any doubt, I'll keep in touch in this Post...
