So i purchased my new cforce 800 because it fit the budget and had the 2 up feature i liked to hhave the wife with me sometimes. I only use the atv on private property about 50 acres to train and let my dog hunt.


I noticed a few weeks after getting it a noise in reverse when the handlbar was cut to one side. (How many times do we ever do this) so i never thought about it again. Recently i heard it again and became aggravated so dropped it off to the dealer.

Fast forward almost 3 weeks after drop off and im told that CFmoto advised the dealer the motor needs to be pulled. (WHY?! idk.)


Dealer said they were advised of an issue and this is the fix.

Anyone ever have this issue?

They needed to tell you why. Just turning while in reverse ..short of not fully engaging in reverse, shouldn't cause a noise internally that would require disassembly...such as a problem with the shift drum or fork. One would think to look elsewhere such as CV joints, axles, or some other drive train component first.

so as i suspected, they pulled the motor and split the cases to find nothing.  machine has 14 hours on it and now my motor is finger f*cked

But...are you sure they actually did that... Sometimes...they..don't always do what they say they did.
