Hello. I am loving my new 500, but after a long slow ride, I found that the plastic above my cvt has started to melt. I was able to heat the section that was sagging and push it back up, but it was a bummer on a month old machine. It doesn't look bad now after my repair, but I feel like this shouldn't happen and I would not want it to get worse.

Get it addressed under warranty. They should put heat shielding on it and replace the plastic.

There is what looks like standard heat shielding on back side on the back side of the plastic. I have contacted the dealer, they asked for pictures which I sent, but I haven't heard back yet. I'm not overly concerned with the small amount that started to melt as you can't see unless you are looking. As I mentioned I heated it and pushed it back the best I could. I just don't want it to get progressively worse.
