changing spark plug

2012 x5 500 lwb so what is the magical special tool i need to change it? removed left side panel and wobble socket extention cussing blaming engineers for not making an easy access panel and what i would have done blah blah blah. so now i am rested do i need to lift fuel tank? there is just no easy way to hit it, odd angle and the fender plastics, feel better just complaining

Lol..they don't make it easy. The only thing I might add is that most all the CFMs have only enough room between the plug and the head material for a stamped metal plug wrench..like what comes in the kit. All other sockets the most have found or tried are just too thick.
