Hi. I'm new here so i don't know if i post in the right place. But i assume this trouble i have is not specific to my modell anyway. I have very difficult to change gears on my Cf. Often i have to chake the whole machine back and forward to go from example low to reverse. I have tryed to adjust the bar from the shift stick to the gear arm. It works perfect when the machine is turned off. But if i'm on a hill for example it is often almost impossible. I've read a lot of post about this issue. But not found any solution or what causes the problem? Best regards

If it shifts fine with the engine off...on a hill or not, then there is some force being applied through the belt to the transmission making the gears have pressure on them. On newer models it can be a problem with the idler bearing/clutch or clutch alignment. On older ones it's usually because of a fast idle setting or binding flyweights in the primary...or if it has a wet clutch it can have a stretched or broken return spring. If it is hard to shift even with the engine off it may be a bent or damaged shifter fork or barrow.
