Pretty much traced it down to a fuel issue. I also replaced spark plug. It will fire on starting fluid then stall out like no fuel. Pump cycles when you turn the key sometimes and sometimes it don't. I have pulled out the injector and it is pulsing and it is spraying fuel so maybe a pressure problem. Is there a fuel pressure spec? Not sure what else to do. Fires right up on starting fluid and sounds normal. Has great spark and comp.  looking up info looks like efi fault light was on.

went out and checked, light is not on.

Fuel pressure should run around 45-50 PSI.
