I purchased a used 2007 UTV that has a CF Moto - CF188 motor (500).

The harness and CDI was damaged (burned beyond recognition). I purchased a CDI that was supposed to be for the motor (picture attached), but I cannot find anyone who will give me a pinout for this CDI. The CDI I have is a dual plug 15 pin ... one connector has 6 pins, the other connector 9 pins (please see picture). I have a full repair manual including a schematic, but that doesn't help because it doesn't give the pin number configuration (just the outputs).

I have repeatedly tried to contact suppliers of the CDI to get pinout information with no success.

The first person who can provide me with the information I need to wire up my CDI so that it runs will receive a check for $50. I already have easily over 100 hours on this project searching the internet, contacting repair shops, etc. … and have made zero progress. $50 will be a small price to pay for my sanity to return (and to hear the engine run). Forget trying to find it on the internet. Three of us have been searching for a week and turned up nothing, hence this “reward” for your help.

As a substitute for actually tracing out the wires in the loom, you can just take a picture of the wire colors and provide the corresponding schematic for your machine. That will give me what I need. I will fabricate a harness for the UTV.

It will be GREATLY appreciated.

Below please find the inputs / outputs per the schematic for my machine ... your wire colors may be different ... the pins are listed in no particular order.

G = Ground
B = B output of voltage regulator and 12vdc from battery to run cdi
B/L = Output to auxilary relay III (starter)
B/Y = Ignition Coil
G/W = Pulse Coil
B/W = Pulse coil / On/Off Switch / Kill switch
Y/L = Gear Sensor - Low Indicator
O/L = Gear Sensor - High Indicator
W/Y = Gear Sensor - Neutral Indicator
Y/B = Gear Sensor - P Indicator
Sb/W = Reverse Gear Sensor - R Indicator
Y/W = Odometer Sensor
Lg/B? = Transition Switch (?transmission?) Lock
Gr/B? = Overide Switch - Overide Indicator
G/Y = Rear Brake Switch

Hi. I too have spent hours trying to get mine going. couldnt find the pin detail but today just found it. Searched images and found picture on Alibaba csp or cspart which is china scooter parts. If you email me at peter.m.hill,btinternet.com will send you the link.
If you view the six pin with outer plug clip on the right so you hsve two vertical rows of pins.
Top down left pins are trig neg ,
Power neg power plus.
Top right down are trig plus, ignition wire, Relay additional ? gues thats auxiliary start relay.
Nine pin with clip at top.
Left row top down are 4wd, speed sig , gear sw Hi.
Middle row top down accelerate ?,
Brake, gear switch low.
Right column top down.
Gear reverse, gear park, gear idle ? Neutral ?

Looking for cdi plugs for the vfmoto cdi. Got the 6 pin coming. Cant find the 9 pin.
My project is a Loncin Lx 500 utv side by side. It had a 3 plug cdi same yamaha. Obtained the wiring diagram.
Someone changed the engine. Not sure if Loncin or cfmoto copy or cfmoto gor a cff 188 . Same size.
Every thing seems right except elec timing at around 30 deg plus btdc . So planning to attach cfmoto 25 pin inn its place just using the key ignition cct cnnections.

Yes you also wanted the wiring colors.
G is earth - power neg on the six pin.
B Batt - Power plus on 6 pin.
B/L Aux start relay coil- Relay additional ( aux) on 6 pin.
B/Y Output to Ignition coil  - ig wire on 6 pin.
G/W and B/W  pick up coil. - Trig positive and Trig neg on 6 pin. B/W has earth from kill switch if fitted.

YL , OL, WY are High Low and Neutral from gear sensor but not sure which is which. That is the order left to right on the wiring diagram.  Bottom three pins on 9 pin plug are Hi, Low and Neutral (idle).  Neutral most important as should not start unless in neutral.
YB is earth from Park switch - Thats "Gear Park" on the 9 pin. Right hand column middle pin.
Sb/W Reverse gear Sensor which is Gear Rev on Nine pin. Top right .
YW is Centre wire of Oddometer (other two are bat and earth wires.) So guessing that is the Speed signal on the nine pin. Thats Left column middle.
Lg/Br is 4wd Diff Lock Signal. Earth when locked. Assume thats the 4WD pin on the nine pin .
Gr/B Live from Overide switch on the wiring diagram. Not sure which pin Guessing Accelerate as thats the only one unaccounted for. Dont have an overide button on my utv?
G/Y Live from brake switch.- Centre pin in middle of 9 pin. Very important. Wont start without bat on that.
