Will not start after you drive it. Loads up smells of gas.
« on: January 03, 2017, 10:31:31 PM »
Hi All,
Twice I have stopped my engine (It doesn't die, I turned the ignition off) on my 2016 CFORCE 500 HO and it will not start back up while cranking it over. I will let it sit for a half a minute and try it again and then all of the sudden it starts and blows a lot of smoke and smells really gassy rich. Obviously it is getting gas but no spark. I have had a lot of issues with this unit and wish I had never bought it. I can't trust it on the trail anymore. What a waste of good money! I only have 300 miles on it.
Thanks
Kevin

I have wrote about this problem and how to fix it.
It is well known on the new 500 ho engine. 191R ECU and wire harness.
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Is this a TSB or a field fix? I read your response to engine wont start after riding awhile. Did you post another article on this?
Thanks
Kevin
PS I thought it was "If it has tits or wheels..."

This might be the decompressor TSB for the pin that hangs up the fly weights.
2013 Z6 Trail
Iron Baltic skid plates
UE Boom Speaker mount
RZR 800 Shocks
Mostly stock trail riding
25g. Rollers and A1

2016 Outlander max 570
Too new for mods yet

This was a field fix, it is being tried for worthiness.
It has stopped this problem in about 98% of the units tried in.
The other 2% have recived a jumper switch at the 5amp ecu fuse
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

There is a TSB out for this problem , but I'm not sure if it has hit USA yet, But I did discuss this problem personally with the USA rep at the factory
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Basically you need to attach 1 end to the battery + and the other to the power on the fuel pump relay. Removing the old power line.
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Hi Wheels,
Thanks for your help. USA rep you talked to about this problem meaning Jason McDonald? I will have to forward this info to the servicing dealer.
Thanks again

Hi Wheels,
I have my 2016 Cforce 500 HO at Evolution Powersports in Watertown South Dakota. I do not think they are getting any help with this harness information from the CFMOTO Technical Team that resides in Plymouth MN that I am aware of. Is there anyway you can pass some information onto the CFMOTO Technical Team in Plymouth Minnesota, USA so I can get my ATV back soon?
