Temp gauge lcd screen

Hi seems my temperature gauge on my lcd screen is flashing with bars full but bike is not hot was left of for 10 hours and it's still flashing any idea what this could be ? Cheers

Yeah probably just a bad sensor.

I feel like a parrot, but download the service manual. Should have a test for it in there.

Yeah probably just a bad sensor.

Check 5-101 in the manual. There is a check for the sensor. I would think you could also test it right in the machine to see if it is even working.

Unplug it and see if there is any difference in the dashboard, if it does than go with the manual throubleshooting as Cosmosdan said.

Yes I've done that seems to be ok now not sure what I have done but must be a loose wire or something lol thanks for all the help guys I have another question about my eps and working out the trouble code I am not to clever as you can tell if you's could help me with that I will post the pictures I took on another thread :)

Might not be a bad idea to put dielectric grease in the connections to keep water out.

I have to wonder about some of their connectors as I find some voltage drops on the down sides of some indicating resistance or poor contact in the connector. For an example I use my accessory circuit for all my extras as it has the 15 amp fuse and I want to stay under that for charging purposes. When the front light bar is on with out the engine running, the lead after the connector to the receptacle shows 11.9 volts.. and before the connector shows 12.7. With the light off they are the same and the light only pulls 4.6 amps so the load isn't close to the circuit's limits..and in a couple of minutes the connector starts to feel a little warm..not hot but enough to tell you there is some resistance there. I think I'll replace it but what about others?
