Hi All,
I am missing the black plastic cover that hides the oil filter cover and dipstick because it was broken by the dealer's service department. They are ordering a new one. At first they did not want to cover it under warranty but I reminded them I brought it in with a good cover. It is no big loss to me but it is noticeable. It was designed poorly. Even the selling dealer showed me how to remove it with our breaking the plastic pins that stick through the rubber grommets on the plastic panel behind it. Have you heard if there is an improved design coming out for this cover? It has to be removed for checking the oil.
It's existence is purely cosmetic, but it does look goofy without it.
I scanned the articles and could not find anything. If I missed it, sorry.

people seem to break them all the time... I've personally never had it happen. If you want to make it easier, just put some grease on the grommet.
