Well, new battery seems to have fixed the issue.  Only time will tell for sure as the problem was intermittent before, but it fired right up with a new battery on multiple starts.

They can have an internal problem that can cause this type if symptom. Never know..seems these have more battery problems then others do.

Something that we don't consider is what happens to the current as the battery is failing & low voltage systems such as 12vdc.

I see this alot with Sea Doo watercraft, they use the same 30 AH rating. As the battery voltage drops the current goes very high, so the contacts in the start relay pay the price.

Quite often we end up replacing both......the solenoid goes intermittent.
ZF 800 LX Trail, stock for now.......not for long.

Rode all weekend with the new battery without any issues.  I haven't installed the new solenoid yet, but I think I'll just hang on to it in case.
