At my wits end.  Will not start, has spark, getting fuel, (gas is new and runs in other atv) will turn over and makes a "fart" sound if that helps.  Battery tests good, put in a different battery and it does the same thing.  Been told it might be bag rings but the plug isn't oily or anything. It has @ 2200 miles on it.  was running fine and the out of the blue will not start any idea?  thanks

Need to check the valve lash first then the valve timing itself. May have a stuck or tight valve or it may have jumped time. Grab the free manual from here as it will show you how.

compression test

Sorry for the delay, took it to the dealer, compression was too high.  they said it broke a pin on the crank shaft so the timing was all off?  anyway it is running now...only.... the top speed is now like 35 mph, it would do 55 mph before this happened.  The tack show that it tops out at 5500 rpm, it's like it needs more fuel.  I took the governor screw all the way out but that did't help.  has anyone had trouble like that?  thanks
