Hi All,

So now I have a couple hundred trail miles on my 500 HO.  The rear storage compartment is pretty dirty.  Has anyone found a good fitting drybox that fits in there or figured a quick easy way of sealing it up so dirt and water cant get in there?  I'm just looking for ideas and seeing what others have already done might stir my creativity a little.  I've been just putting my stuff in a dry back and stuffing it in there.

Storm in our vendor section had a nice box for these. You could try the foam strips around the lid also. Cheap and at least worth a try.

The problem is the dirt and water comes in from under the seat where the compartment is open.  Not sure how to seal that properly and permanently.

I have no idea why they did that. I have used sheet rubber to make splash guards, but not going to help with dust. If I had a pic or one in front of me, I might have a better solution for you. I have been looking for a shallow box for my outlander max, but no joy yet. I think your best option is to find a box to put on the back or front rack. Planio made a rear box that fit the older outlander maxs if you removed the hand holds. The storm is the nicest ive seen so far.
