primary & secondary torque specs
« on: August 04, 2020, 11:03:00 AM »
does anyone have the clutch torque specs for a 2020 500 HO, I've got some but they seem to be all over the place. This is what I think is correct

secondary nut 115nm-85 ft lbs
primary bolt 60nm - 45 ft lbs
primary nut 70- 80 ft lbs,

can anyone confirm these numbers I have as high as 150nm-110ft lbs for both the secondary and primary nut, sounds high to me, also 40nm-30ft lbs for the primary bolt, that sounds low. any help would be appreciated.

The manuals sometimes have conflicting posts but as for your numbers, they seem right or very close as the 800s use nuts for both clutches and they are 79-80ftlbs. The bold for yours is just a retainer and usually somewhere under 50 would be correct so that seems OK too. Did you get your number fom the service manual?

the secondary was from the service manual, my service manual states 40nm-30ft lbs for the primary nut, but CVtech web site info states 70-80 for the primary nut and the primary bolt number came from the dealer, he also gave me the 150nm for both the secondary and primary nut, think hes off on them, but no totally sure, somewhat confusing for sure.
