Good news. Someone on FB has a flashing oil light too..he's taking it in. I'll let him know about yours. You can get a set of EBCs from perfect brake. The numbers are different left and right. There's a post with the numbers in either the how tos or the Info Center.

Thanks, I'll look into that.
As far as the pressure switch, I'm guessing when it would heat up something inside would lose connection. I still haven't ridden it. And it doesn't look like I'll have time this weekend. I'll update after a good ride.

I finally got a chance to go for a little ride. No more problems with the oil light. Looks like the pressure switch fixed it!

Good. So it looks like that lead to the ECU causes it to flash when the switch is closed.. so you will notice it...I suspect :)

A little late to the party on this one, sorry......but, the oil pressure light is only an on/off pressure switch and dashboard light indicator. It is not tied to the ECU in any fashion. In case anyone ever needs it, the spec on that switch is 8.7 psi +/- 1.4 psi and it's the same switch on every engine regardless of size.

I agree the switch is only a simple open/close switch however a look at the wiring schematic shows a R/G (assuming Red/Green) wire leading back to the #25 ECU terminal for the 500s and to the #6 ECU terminal on the 800s. There are some that might consider this as some kind of "association" with the ECU. May just be power supply.. or be what causes it to flash but it's purpose or it..and the tach.. is undocumented in either manual...at least that I can find. Here's the 800's. The 500's is in the manual.

So here we go again. Over the weekend we had gone for a long ride and the oil light started flashing intermittently again. I stopped and checked the oil and it was full. I wasn't on level ground so it was showing way over full but with the angle it was sitting it was expected. I continued riding and it seemed to become more constant. So I figured the switch had gone bad again. It was triple digits (107F) and we all know how these things heat up so I assumed the heat killed the switch. After getting it home while cleaning it up I noticed the light was just intermittently flashing. Didn't think much of it and ordered another switch from the dealer. Today I got some time to start looking things over. Just to be sure the oil level was correct I checked it again, now on level ground. And it's showing a little overfilled??? How can this be? I haven't added any oil. Then the sniff test... smells like gas!! This thing is fuel injected, how would gas get in the crank case?? So now I'm doubting the switch is the problem and I may have a much bigger issue. Any ideas where to start looking?

A leaking injector will drip fuel as long as there is pressure on the input side...and during transport there is always some pressure on the tank. That would be the only way. How much over was it from where you last checked it? A little gas isn't a killer but a 1/2 pint or more will thin it enough to be an issue.

Just over halfway between the max full and the threads on the dipstick. I would think it's enough to thin it out too much.

It's also stored in an uninsulated shop. So with this Texas heat it's possible it could get pressure in the tank during the heat of the day every day. It's not something I've ever checked on. Never even considered it a possibility.

So now what? Injector cleaner and hope for the best? And obviously another oil & filter change.

I think if it were mine I would let it get hot and pressure the tank, then just pull the injector and leave it hooked-up and see if it's dripping. The filters are usually good enough to stop any junk from getting through so...if it is leaking..IMO..I would replace the injector. In the meantime loosen the gas cap to keep pressure off the tank when not in use....and get that gas/oil oil out of there.

on my cf 520 the oil light starts flashig. both times it have bin the oil preasure switch that has stopt working it stopps flashing when i replaced it with a new one.   Check if its any oil around the oil preasure switch if it is its possible that the switch has broke down and leaking oil and don't get any preasure

Ok so it was a royal pita but I pulled the injector. Pressured it with the pump. No leak. Cycled it and has a good spray. Let it sit with pressure on it and nothing. Changed the oil again. Measured the oil according to the manual 3000ml. Ran it and let it settle again. When I checked the oil by screwing the dipstick in (the way I was always told to check oil) and it's over full according to the dipstick. If I check it without screwing it in it's right on the full. So I must have measured the oil last time I changed it instead of going by the dipstick. Regardless I still think I had a little fuel in my oil just not the massive amount I thought at first. I remarked my dipstick to read correct when it's screwed in. Now about the oil light. After all that it was still flashing intermittently. So I checked the pressure with a gauge 60psi at idle and 85psi at 4500rpm. No problem with pressure there. So I moved on to checking cleaning and greasing the main ground connection. And the light hasn't come back on yet. I already ordered a new switch so I'll just hold onto it in case it acts up again. I'm still not sure how the fuel got in the oil tho.

My service manual on the 800 says not to screw the dip stick in..so I don't. If I do the level is about where your mark is..the length of the threads. May not be as much gas as you think. Doesn't take much to make a smell and..actually..all the gasses that make it by the rings is either burned or..un-burned fuel and air. Be surprised how much of the fuel charge gets by the rings while being compressed. Gasoline usually evaporates-out about as fast as it's introduced that way though.

Greasing ground connections?

Yeah I may have overreacted thinking it was full of fuel.
And yes I used dielectric lube to prevent corrosion. As we've discussed before all electrical connections on these things are dry from the factory. I just never messed with the ground because of how hard it is to get to. But it needed it.
