Hard to start off in any gear and slow speeds
« on: August 22, 2020, 06:13:59 PM »
Hey guys and gals. I have two 2015 cforce 500 they both have 2600 kms on them. Im having the exact same issue with both of them. One being worse then the other.

What happens is when im driving normally down a road it revs higher then usual like as if the belt is slipping then once I drive for 30 minutes or so I cant get the machine to move just revs to a wot and crawls 5 km hr once you let the machine cool off for a hour you can drive it for another 30 min and same thing and its only getting worse with time and heat...
I checked all my breaks and made sure the machine could roll around with ease.
I replaced belts on both machines the old belts didn't look bad or worn. took the primary clutches apart and the rollers look ok no damages. Cleaned the entire compartment had some dust... the same problem is happening.

I ran the machine with the cvt cover off and it seems like the primary clutch isn't engaging. Im completely at a lose

On other brands that act that way it's usually oil on the belt or the primary slipping on the crankshaft because they were not torqued to the proper spec. You inspected the clutch parts and belt and if it were either it would have shown itself. What did the crank end look like and what is the torque spec for the primary retainer and bolt?

I verified no oil on the belts and crank looked ok nothing worn the clutch is splinded to the crank and it all looked good. i torqued the main bolt to 85 ft lbs. When the quad was cold and moving around some what ok. I loaded the quad up against a tree slowly until it spun the rear tires.. the clutches weren't moving until the wheels broke free. But then driving down the road normally it seems to be slipping like crazy at higher speeds then when I let off the throttle it jolts and feels like it shifts a gear and you can go a little faster but starts to rev high and lose speed the longer you go.
