I have a 2019 CFORCE 500 4x4 and love everything about it so far. I completed a ATV safety course with my son this past summer. I went into a water hole that appeared to only be inches deep. It was just below the my exhaust. The bike was never shut off and was able to winch myself out. I noticed once home it would not get to 55mph as it easily did before. I was told to clean the dirty water out of housing for my CV belt. I did that as it was pretty dirty. The belt in my opinion still looked great.

Anyone have any suggestions I should try next to get my original performance back.

If you are very sure no water got inside the engine...ie no overfilled oil and no milky oil, then its probably all clutch and belt related. If you had lots of junk get in, then just draining it won't do. You will have to remove each clutch, break them down and clean every part as well as scotchbrite the sheave surfaces. Now the belt. Although it had water and muck in it it will have slipped on those sheaves glazing the contact surfaces..possibly beyond repair but after verifying the thickness is still in range, try and scotchbrite it's contact surfaces as well and wipe down with a clean, soft cotton rag and either acetone or lacquer thinner. No lubricants on any part of either clutch.

Clean your cvt. All that dirt in the moving parts Will increase the risk of wear.

Your cvt exhaust is located under the left rear fender. If it goes under, water and dirt may get in it and down to the cvt. If it was above the water/mud line check your snorkels for any leaks.
