Hi All,
I got my CFMOTO CFORCE 500 HO back from the dealer and I noticed right away at the dealer that the RPMs jumped and cause me to almost back into other customer's ATVs at the dealership. This happened twice while I was there. I questioned them about it and they said "I don't know".
Today when I drove it I noticed the RPMs increased to over 4000 when I turn the the handle bars right or left. The more I turned it either direction the higher the RPMs went. I then pulled up on the throttle cable sheave and it revved up again. My guess it the cable sheave at the throttle body end is not secured.

Acts like the cable is routed around something that's causing it to pull when the bars are rotated. Better check it.

Yep, the cable is getting pulled. They should have known this right away. I would have given them a verbal lashing. This is something you check for after working on or near the cable.

HI :-) My advice is have someone to turn the handle bar right  and left while you watch the Throttle body ( Injector house where you have the butterfly valve) and see if the Throttle cable and quadrant moves respectively. If it does then the cable is routed arround the steering stam which causes the unwanted Throttle cable tensioning and causes again the unwanted RPM jumps. It is really easy fix if it is so. You just need to take out the fuel tank cover whEre you have the decals on then your fuel tank must be out too because the cable runs right under the fuel tank. Then release the cable from the injector house quadrant and reroute it the right way. Then it's just to put everything back and see if you have fixed it :-) it might also be as simple as cutting a zip ties the dealer used to tied the cable so that it doesn't vibrate,  when you turn the handle bar it tensioned the cable which in turn makes an unwanted RPM jumps :-) Hope it helps ;-)
