Is there any difference between the two years? Or any problems that one year had that the other didn't? Just seeing if any changes were made in between those 2 units.

Just my opinion, the 500 has been evolving out of some problems it had from the start so... the newer...the better.

Yes there has been many changes to the 500 ho in it's 3yrs.
Muffler heat shroud
Main Cable
Muffler bracket upgrade
Rear Diff support bracket
A Arm resizing to fix camber
Coolant hose relocation
cvt cover heat upgrade
And the list go's on............................

So it has became a better machine over time. Thanks for input because a dealer told me both machines were the same, but it seems as the newer has a bit upgrade.

Only reason I ask the difference is because a dealer wants to sell me a brand new"16" out the door at $6000, but I don't know if the "16s" are just like the 2017. I rather go newer, but I also don't want to miss a deal if I can get one.
