OK so one thing that I have noticed over the week end is the right hand side of the air box is bolted to the heat shield and has gotten hot and melted through the tab on the side of the air box. I have to drop off the quad to the dealer for them to look at and see if its covered under warranty.





Other than that it was good weekend.

Have just been told by the CFmoto importer head office here that there is no recall on these here for the muffler tab, And that there is a restriction in the exhaust for it to do what it did. 

Will be dropped of at the dealer tomorrow

Ok got the quad back from the dealer with no fix and wanting to charge me to replace the parts ( one air box ). So i fixed it my self . While the bike was a part I wrapped the exhaust and made up a new heat sheald to protect the air box and wired in a over ride switch so i can turn the thremo fan on when its need but if the switch is off the system will still work like factory.













This is my fix for the air box same tab just moved to the back 



And made up some gun racks for the front, net really happy with them yet will probably just but some.

Good fix.
You will need to put a strap over the guns to stop them from jumping out when on a chase. I have mine held in tight with felt padding and a plastic tube that the muzzle sits in. Takes a fraction of a second longer to get out but will not jump out over rough ground.

Thanks mate, I am not overly happy with them and am looking at just buying the Kolpin double XL mounts any way because i want to put a tool box on the front rack and mount the guns on the back side of it to help protect them and make it easier to get them in a hurry.

A few changes on the front as the tool box I want to put on the front rack won't fit with the lights the way I had them so I moved them to just under the front rack.

Ok so not a lot happening lately with the arrival of our first child at the end of March.

But just recently my nephew got a little 50cc quad for his 3rd birthday, so I have been going riding with him, but during the riding my bike kept cutting out, I have found that the ignition switch wasn't plugged onto the loom losing contact shutting the bike down.

Yeah, his dad ( my brother ) races Off road 4x4, so he is a little rev head... currently he wont ride it by himself he would rather get on my bike with me at this stage.
