Hi All,
This might be a normal feature but it is annoying when there seems to be a rev limiter in 4WD when the Diff Lock is engaged. Please tell me this is the nature of this particular beast. I am thinking of nick naming this unit "The Anti-Christ" like the Land Rover in "The Gods Must Be Crazy"

There is a small switch on left hand bar, push in during 4x4 difflok to over ride safety

The small switch on left hand bar is for the reverse speed limiter. According to the manual/user manual you are limited to 40km/hr when engaging the diff.lock. It says clearly that you drive your ATV by max. 40km/hr when the diff.lock is engaged. In 4x4 mode you can drive it as fast as the ATV is constracted to be driven but not once when you have the diff.lock engaged.

Tips:

Try not to take sharp turns when you have diff.lock engaged or else you might end up braking the shafts or something else.

Now on my Z, the override switch is for the diff-loc override but does not effect the reverse limiter. 

No reason to drive around in high speeds using diff lock, exactly why the machine has a RPM limiting function when in diff lock, to protect it from folks who don't realize diff lock is for low speeds. Use the over-ride only when you are stuck and need diff-lock at a higher RPM.

Thanks all, I understand the obvious with breaking stuff while doing stupid things but just wanted to know if that was a feature.
I pull heavy items like logs and if it cuts out on a straight line pull that isn't very handy. I will have to look for the switch. All I remember is a start, horn and kill switch. I know my Polaris and Arctic Cats have it. I don't recall seeing it on this one.

I haven't been out to look at my ATV but All I am seeing in pictures and a few videos is a horn, starter and kill switch. Is it on the front side of the handlebars. Does one double as a override switch?

The button is not visible from the rider position, look at the front of the left hand switch assembly. The button is activated with your pointer finger and needs to be held down, it is only engaged when held down.

I found the button the other day when I had it out right where you said. Too used to my Polaris and Arctic Cat ATVs I guess.
