For the first 1800km (~1120 miles) I haven't had any problems with the Quad at all 2015 CFMoto CForce 550 EFI EPS. Nearly each time i switched the motor off, usually I heard the fan spin for a few seconds, but lately I haven't heard the fan at all. Yesterday in the forest not going over 50kmh (~30mph) I overheated it and today exploring a dirt road, going down a steep hill than up a small steep hill it Overheated again. The EFI indicator was red while the Engine was running, it happens everytime it overheats (today was the 3rd time). And i had 8/8 bars on the heat indicator and the fan didn't kick in. I just shut the engine off and let it cooldown for about 15 minutes until it dropped to 3/8 bars, i rode a bit quicker than normal so i caught more air until i got home around 10km from there i Had 5/8 bars and i was going around 60-70kmh (~38 - ~44mph). I know there is some sort of PCode where the Indicator blinks n amount of times too show you an error, which you can then check in your manual and yesterday I did notice some blinking but I didn't really think of it at that moment just kept going faster until it stopped blinking. I've read some threads on this forum about similar problems but not on this bike, maybe it's something with the "Thermo Switch" I've read of here, but anyways i dont know where it is in My Quad. Is this a common problem? What should I do? Or is it best if I contact my dealer?

If it is the thermos switch, then yes it is a common problem with all CFMs. Its usually located on the radiator and has two wires going to it. Bridging or jumpering those two wires causes the fan to come on. You can pull the connector and rig a jumper across the two in an emergency. I would replace the thermos switch anyway. Overheating is the #2 cause of death of these engines topped only by particle intrusion through the OE air filter.

Could you recommend a replacement? Ive read that the 2015 original thermoswitches aren't very good. The thing is the bike is still on warranty.

I hear the replacements are much better and the newer machines already have them.
