We took our quads for a ride up the back side of Heavenly Valley. Within 30 minutes my right leg was on fire from the heat. When we got back after 3 hours and I checked my leg I had large blisters from my knee to my ankle! I was wearing Levi's. Is anyone aware of some good after-market fixes or fixes from CFMOTO?

remove the catalytic converter and you won't have so much heat around your leg.

I am riding a CFMOTO 500 HO C Force. I got it in November 2018. This was the first long ride where I spent a lot of time in 4 wheel drive.

I bought two OEM exhaust shrouds. The Aluminum one that is installed right over the flex ball and socket spring unit, was cut in half, flipped upside down and slid up and over the upper one. Then attached with stainless steel hose clamps. The large appature end was wrapped in the same manner up under the flex joint. It also was attached in the same manner. Ahead of the aluminum one is a steel one that fit around the O2 sensor. I bought a second one of these and press fit them both together. Used a drill to open the holes slightly in the second, and installed with a hose clamp around both just in case vibration became an issue. It has worked well for me as far as heat goes.
