Hi we are getting an overland 1000 and of course I caint leave it stock 😉. My plan is getting rims and tires leaving the stockers for riding around town. I'd like to go 30", with the stock ride height do I have enough clearance so they don't rub while turning. And what clutching upgrades were used? Thanks from the MN new guy🤪

In most all brands, a 30" tire on stock suspension will rib. It comes with 27s so most will allow two sizes up..say 29s but I think that's cutting it close. Not to mention the power decimation that will occur. Hopefully someone with the 1000 or even the 800 will chime-in with some real info.

I have a UForce 1000 with 30" tires on stock rims and suspension. It's not the same machine, but stock tires are 27" too, so there might be similarities in clearance design.

I took the front 2" spacers off (I left the rears on), because the tires rubbed at full left lock as they pushed the tires back. The stock suspension is cranked to max. I have no turning rubbing issues, but I haven't launched the machine yet to see if I get a compression rub. I don't plan on it either, LOL. I do want to soften the suspension and see how it goes, because I'd like a more plush ride around the farm. I'm thinking about getting some Hester Stage 1's anyway, so I'm looking for a problem! Haha!

Hope this helps.

I wonder about bigger tires.....

Doesn't it raise you center of gravity?   Wouldn't it make the unit a little more tippy?

I want to clear obstructions... but wonder about the positives and negatives....

I think my next set of sneakers will be 29's, but I want to hear from real life experiences of plus sizing tires.

I have been reading and researching on plus sizing the tires and it seems necessary to do a clutch job with different springs.

I will plus size the tires, but I am going to wait and do it, with a new clutch.....   Spring of 2024.
