EPS fuse blowing
« on: September 23, 2024, 12:10:00 PM »
i have a cforce 1000 2019. where the fuse keeps blowing. ive cheched all the conections to the controller witch look fine, no bent pins or corrosion.

i have dismanteld the eps unit and tried it with the motor disconected from the rest, then the fuse dosent blow and the motor just runs in one direction 100% of the time. if i assable again it will run until it hits it stop then blow the fuse.

I think..the torque sensor is commanding the control unit to send power to the motor when the demand isn't there...enough that it blows the motor's power supply fuse. But a thought..if you were to turn it enough to hit the stops and continue to apply force on the bars, most wouldn't blow the fuse just because the motor can't move it any more...so why yours? What condition would have to exist for a stalled motor to pull enough amps to blow it's fuse? This is the question. Most would say a motor that the armature is making contact with the field windings...and that would be because of a bad bearing. It could also be a short in the winding somewhere.

I figured out the issue with the motor just running, we had assembelled the torque sensor the wrong way.
initially we had the 40amp fuse blow and figured out the controller had a blown mosfet, sent it off to be repaired.
when we got it back it works for 1 min until we get the fault code 32.
the fuse no longer blows.
the eps aids in one direction but not the other way
we have inspected the harness and plugs and no sign of damage or corrosion.
Hope you can help us to figure this out.

Hello, I have the exact same issue with my 520 -16. Did you find a solution for this?
