Disabling daytime running lamps
« on: January 01, 2023, 11:39:02 PM »
For whatever reason from the factory you pretty much can't turn off the frigging lights

There's positions for:
-high beams
-low beams
-off or should I say not friggin off
-and running lamps

I'd like to be able to actually shit off the lights

I'd also like reverse lights but thats a different story

A simple cut off switch on the low running light position would do it.

I added a smalls set of 'ditch lights' on mine and contemplating tapping a back up light set up off of the hot lead for them.

I could probably just wire them in as a dual set but sometimes I like to complicate matters for fun.

I dont see the need for lighting up china with the reflection of humongous lightbars casting shadows on the moon so I tend to stay more discreet myself.

Not that Im worried about people seeing me, but so I can see the ditch. hehe.

But there are times when I want to fly low and with minimal disturbance myself.

Ive never been fond of "always on" lighting anyway.

With a bit of care it shouldnt be hard to rig up a simple mount for a mometary contact switch on the Reverse notch. theres plenty of metal support under the plastics.
