Testing My GBC Grim Reapers on the Z8...and a little ride
« on: August 18, 2015, 06:29:50 PM »
For me the factory tires have had me staying away from many areas just because I know what they do in soft stuff. Been wanting to switch tires and wheels with my Brute to see just how the GBC Grim Reapers..which I love so much...work on the Moto before buying a set. Did that today. Completely different in all departments over the stocks in all traction needs including climbing, control and ride comfort. Yes, my Z8 will get her own set next.

Did a little video of today's ride. Though I would share it with you guys.

After the clutch work and the Reaper install, I went to the desert and dunes for a little testing. Made this from some clips but took the comments out as they were for my documentation for future adjustments. In this set she hits and holds at between 6200 & 6400 RPM on the climbs. That also..again.. pushed the exhaust connections apart but I have some new Moose springs on the way that should cure that issue...at least until I find a quiet, good flowing aftermarket muffler. It seems after the cold air intake and the higher RPMs from the clutch work, I am having trouble keeping my exhaust spring connection from pushing apart and not resealing without some help. Weird.  Enjoy.
