what about spacers on wheels ? more stability!

Spacers will add width which does add stability however they also add a torsional load to the wheel bearing because of the candle lever effect of moving the load or wheel mounting surface father away from that bearing. Keeping it under 2"s will help. Although I am an advocate against spacers especially on any single wheel bearing application such as most Double a-arm and IRS suspensions , I did decide that I would put 1.5" spacers on my 53 because the effect is minimal and when I tested it with my wheels and tires off my Brute, the positive handling effect of having the stance 3"s wider was very noticeable...and sense I don't have many 50" restricted trails here,... and I sure wasn't about to buy another set of wheels, I decided why not. I can always remove them when I find I am going to a 50" restricted trail somewhere...probably out of state. Looks meaner too!...lol
