Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. When I click in the front lockers. The X on the display just flashes. I have turned the wheel back and forth. But NO GO. You can hear it, But it just flashes and does not engage. Was driving up in the snow, Got stuck. Turned on the lockers and drove out. Turned off, and about 30 minutes later I needed them again. Light just flashes and the lockers will not engage and had to winch my self out in 15 degree weather. Any ideas??

It's a two-stage sliding device and what happens most often is people engage the locker after they are in trouble and because of the load on the drivetrain, it doesn't get completely engauged. Then power is applied and because it isn't fully seated it tries to slide back out and against the plastic teeth of the slide controller...which either will break a tooth off or so or bend the fork. Usually breaks the teeth which causes it to be out of position and cause an error as well as not engage. Easy to replace..well fairly easy. A bit of a bi*ch to get too the bolts and get enough slack on the harness but jack the front end up pretty high so the oil will stay in and pull the actuator being carefull of the O-ring. You can inspect the slide gear there. In 2wd it should be slid all the way to the right. If all the teeth are there sight down the arm or fork and see if it looks bent. If either has a problem there is a pin that cones out to remove the gear and fork in one piece. IF all looks good you might have a problem with the actuator or..the switch...it wouldn't be the first time. Here's a pic if what you will see inside:
