ZFORCE 800 -53" - Fender Flare Kit -
« on: May 16, 2016, 02:11:07 PM »
Installed the fender flare kit available through Canadian CFMOTO Dealers on my ZFORCE 800 53". The kit can be found on CFMOTO Canada's web site under "Accessories" (Product Code 9060-ACS-010). They do keep a lot of dirty of the machine. I Have 1.5 inch wheel spacers on my machine; even with the spacers on, the wheels are still inside the fender flares.

Attached are a few photos to give you an idea what they look like should any one be interested. As with any accessory, they are pricey IMO.

Thanks NMK, they do add to the look of the machine.

One thing I should have mention in the original post, the fender flare kit also fits the following machines, all 2015 ZFORCE 600 and SNYPER 600 from 2011 to 2014.

I second that. Those doors are really a great look and fit on the SxS. Even the graphics mesh well. Assuming those are the CF Moto Canadian doors ? Yep, they are indeed -> http://www.cfmoto.ca/en/accessories/products/side-doors-zforce-800

Looks great! That would be a nice low profile option for the EX owners as well. I think the EX fenders are kinda big, I kinda thought the standard 800 fenders look great on the EX models. Thats how the CF Moto race team has their ex buggies setup. Looks tuff that way, and no fenders to rip off!

Is the fender kit available to US buyers ? I am STILL trying to decide between a trail and an EX model, but was leaning more towards the EX (like NMK said, if you are adding spacers and fenders to the trail, why not just get the EX and be done with it ??). While I completely agree with him, my riding buddies are not too happy that I'm looking at a 59" wide model, which means I will end up hampering where we all ride at some point.

If I can get the fenders for the 53 here in NA, it would at least be some consolation were I to buy the 53, and then add the spacers and fenders to cut down on all that mud that flies into the cab, and make my riding buddies happy that we can all fit on the same narrow trails here in PA.

May also want to try emersonsc too. He just may be able to hook you up.

Looks awesome!! IMO I think fenders on the trail models should be stock just like they are on the EX. Don't think any of us bought these to run on the road.

Those buddies are my Father in Law and Bro in Law. I can't choose them, but they have helped me out a LOT. I am very mechanically challenged (but I can do wonders with PCs and tech hardware 8) ) and both of them have helped me out immensely when my ATV needs servicing, so both of them want me to buy something RELIABLE. I'm trying to convince them that CF Moto makes a pretty good SxS for the $$, but if I buy an EX, I run the risk of ticking them off enough to limit their 'assistance' to me (as in, WT, we TOLD you to not buy that thing !!)  :(

I am getting the same from my buddies. They dont want anybody wider than 50 inches. and they wont help if i need repairs either.

I've ripped into my share of pc's, laptops, almost anything electrical, as well as engines, plumbing, you name it, trust me when I tell you. If you're PC savvy. Have faith that YOU CAN do more than you think on these machines. I agree with getting something that you'll get the most use out of, and I'm sure that either choice your family will back you up even if that means breaking you b****s a bit before helping you out.

Its the same here when bringing items in from the States to Canada, shipping is as much as the item you would like to buy.

How to get around the outrages shipping cost? I have been able to get a few vendors to ship items to me from the States by regular US Postal Service which did save a lot on the shipping. Try contacting a Canadian CFMOTO Dealer an see if they be willing to discuss shipping alternatives that are cost effective, like using Canada Post parcel service, it may cost less than UPS etc. I wouldn't email a dealer but call them direct. The personal contact may help out getting the info you
may need, just a thought. Ya, the two machines looks close to being twins ;D.

I agree with getting something that you'll get the most use out of, and I'm sure that either choice your family will back you up even if that means breaking you b****s a bit before helping you out.
Went for a ride today with FiL, and here's the thing - within 1 hour, I was pretty much set to pass on the much better EX suspension and go with the Trail 53. These trails we rode today were very tight, and even my wide stance quad at 51" was close to clipping a few sapling on tight turns. What's made it worse is they slag the CF Moto brand and pretty much say I'm being a stubborn fool to buy one. This all is made much worse by the fact that my FiL towed a Uforce 800 out of the woods 2 weeks ago, and the owner gave my FiL several horror stories on reliability and bad dealer experience to pass along to me. I called the guy up to get his full story, not second hand, and he's been towed out on 3 of 4 rides, overheating each and every time. He also had it in the shop 4 of the past 12 months waiting on a thermal switch that kept failing.

And here's my reply to that - I've joined this forum to educate myself on the brand. I know that most of you guys have had no major issues like this, and I know what to do to make the SxS more reliable before I even get on the trails. I know what to look for, I know how to fix it (sorta), and I still have probably 9 months until I'm going to buy, which gives me even MORE time to research and make an informed buying decision. I'd say we are dealing with purely anecdotal evidence at this point, unless you can name a brand of SxS that has never been towed out of the woods.

The hard part now is to convince these two in laws that I'm a big boy and can take care of myself. I ask them to suggest an alternative to a CF Moto that doesn't rhyme with Brolaris and they can't do it. In fact, I slagged the CVT on my BiL's new Rzr 900 (due to having to wind it up to 3k rpm to even get it to move - I HATE that !!) and my FiL says he took it rather personally.
