Every three months they correct legitimate problems straight on the production line. With CFM..always get the newest you can. Between 2015 and 2017 many issues were addressed  such ad fan switches, suspension bushings, brakes, engine timing chain issues, water pump issues, many electrical connection issues, shocks... and so on. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra dollar or two for the updated version. You wouldn't buy a computer running Vista just because it's cheaper...right?
I’m looking at a used 2015 with 1200 miles. What should I look for as potential issues?
First and foremost, maintenance records..and how long it was used with the stock airfilter. If it still has it..expect the engine to be at the end of it's life, although some have gone longer. Then warn or seized suspension bushings..bearings..common stuff to look at.
Can you explain the air filter issue?

There's many threads on air filter particle intrusion issues..just do a search.

What he said.

The newer versions have a handy glove box on the left side of the steering wheel.  Also, I think dual drink holders were added to the center console area after 2015.  I'm not 100% sure on that.  They are damn handy, though.  Gotta keep them daddy pops close by!

The early air filters were crap and the paper element would fail.  Most everybody changes out to something better, K&N, UNI or the nicer CFMOTO version.

Agreed to ALL the above. Love the new cup holders, although I haven't seen the new lil glove box, it does sound like a great addition. As far as the suspension goes, I believe it is a matter of time and effort and adjusting it to what feels right for the type of riding you do. Keep in mind (at least on the EX models) you have 2 adjustments on each shock (compression and rebound with 6 different settings)  plus your preload of each. 48 different settings plus preload adjustments gives you a lot of variables to deal with. The 2015 Air filters were junk, unfortunately i bought an extra one before I knew better and went with the UNI. Glad i didn't ride it off pavement before I switched it. 2015 still had some of the old thermoswitch ( fan switch ) in them. Went through 3 before I got a good one. Some complain about the stock tires not being very tough, I know I've punctured mine a few times. Again that too can be rider error, as I was running about 18-20lbs in them. No real issues since I dropped them down to 14 rears and 12 up front, some even going lower. 2015 still had the older style shocks with the "helper spring" on top of the main spring. (some reservoirs were getting rubbed) Dealer replaced mine under warranty.
Some of us get fogging in the headlights (yet again, depends on your environment).
As with anything "used" just use common sense, listen to it, drive it. Ask to see the air cleaner, and have them pull it off and look inside to make sure it isn't or hasn't sucked in dust. Look at the A Arm bushings, pull the A Arm back and forth make sure there is no play or rattling. Let it run until the fan comes on (should be 3 BARS).

Good info. If there’s more, keep it coming. I’m taking notes.

I have a noise in my engine that has been there since I picked it up. The dealer wouldn't tear it down to find out what's wrong with it. They told me to drive it until it breaks. Well now I am out of warranty period. It has not broken yet, same noise, same performance. So I have decided even if the motor does blow It was still worth the money, I will rebuild and keep going if that happens. I would buy again, even with the noise I haven't had real issues, replaced one thermo switch (have two more spares and a toggle switch)

I love the glove box and steering column cover.  I will be ordering them as soon as they show up on Alpha-Sports.  Like others said check all the A-arm bushings and wheel bearings.  I think my machine will be getting all new bushings, inner, and outer on all four corners this winter.  This time of year kind of sucks for riding.  It's been weeks since I drove mine.  I can't seem to find the time to do maintenance.  I still say that the stock tires work awesome in the environment that I ride in.  They could use a few more plys but, they are excellent in the rocks, silt, snow and mud.
