Hoping someone here may have an idea..  I have a 2016 Z8 with less than 500 miles that while idling quit and won't restart.  It tries to start but more like its only running on one cylinder.  I've changed the plugs, checked compression, and checked fuel pressure and everything seems in line.  Has anyone dealt with anything similar?

What is the fuel pressure? There is an ohm test you can run on the CPS. Some have failed so check that. How much compression did it show? Is the red MIL light flashing on the dash? It will while not running but when trying to start? And if flashing unevenly while the key is on, its flashing error code numbers that can be looked up.

You did not mention spark?

What do the spark plugs look like, maybe photo's of them & make sure the match the specific cylinder.

Last, how about some background how it ran & any goofy things going on prior.

Well, it appears the timing chain on Cylinder #1 jumped a tooth..  I sure would like to know whats up with this, evidently this isn't uncommon. Kind of concerns me about reliability with these things..

There was some mis-matched cam chains and cam sprockets and reports of jumping like this. Take the cover off and take a side photo of the chain and sprocket, post it and we can tell you if its one of those. They were mostly all in 2015 & 2016...and mostly all in the 800s.  Also, there is at least one thread on this with pics so a search should pull it up.
