Wheel issues/Axle?
« on: July 04, 2019, 05:00:34 PM »
We bought a brand new 2018 Zforce 800 last month. While driving it, under 30 kms/hr the front DS tire bent out when something broke underneath and pushed my husband into a tree. There was no rocks or holes in the area, just flat ground. It has 50 kms on it and now has over $11,0000 in damages. Dealer won't cover it under warranty as they said there was evidence of trauma underneath. I think the trauma happened when we had to use the winch to pull the wheel straight and then use planks underneath to get it off the trail and on a trailer.
Anyone else have issues?
Not a happy camper at the moment!

As there are known issues with the factory either not tightening things up or leaving things off, we always strongly suggest all new owners to check every bolt and nut on the suspension and components plus change the air filter before even driving it. One very important thing they tend to leave off is the cotter pins for the ball joints and tie rod ends. Found one missing on one of my tie rod ends as well. That can allow the nut to come off, then the rod to drop. Then the wheel is free to go where it wants to. It also happened top Luke from Dirt Tracks on one of the races.

I would contact CFMoto directly and stay on them about this. You should be given a new machine as this was their lack in QC that ended up costing your machine.  They know they have a QC problem.

Haven't got anywhere. Customer service wouldn't even call me back. Finally got the receptionist to get the 1 customer service guy on the phone and he just kept saying it was not covered. Still dealing with Insurance now :(
