STM is almost done with their kit. Look up STM Powersports on Google. Great company

Check my post.

This is the clutch kit HRC630 is talking about.

I have a couple concerns about the CVTech clutch set up though.

The biggest is lack of tuning. These don't have Rollers/Sliders like the stock clutches, so even more so, there wont be much if anything for tuning the weights. This means when/if a big bore kit comes out, a turbo kit, or even something like bigger tires for mudding, are installed, you're stuck with the same tune.

I also just got off the phone with CMI. There is still a delay in shipping these units, so its still possibly 2-3 weeks out for retail sale.

Lastly, the price I was given was pretty shocking. Dealer cost, plus shipping and importation fees puts us pretty close to the cost of the STM set up, and with them, you also get a Secondary, not to mention, the full tuneability of BOTH clutches.

Not saying there CVTech clutches are bad, but I'f im going to spend THAT much money, I want to be able to do a lot more with them.

Just my two cents.

Oh and NO. The American dollar exchange rate DOES NOT MATTER. Dealers are charged the same as the Canadians, so please, leave that out of here. Its been discussed and explained to death.

Emersonsc, i know you try toi push STM (good compagny) but dont foul people..
The CVTech are tunable as the STM and need a lot less maintenance. Here in Quebec (Canada) there are a lot of sled with over 300 hp with turbo system that run CVTech clutch and the tuning of Powerblock or Trailblock are well know.
You have write to me to stop posting in your wet clutch delete post and i am ok with that but i dont understand why since its a public forum and i only Share my expérience with the wet clutch delete kit i have and i am the only one here that have try it... dont speak about what you dont know. Both primary and secondary from cvtech are fully tunable (Weight, spring, helix) and you can place your rpm where you whant for bigger tires or turbo kit.
Also the price you have send to me is double what i have paid for the CVTech...
Post the right thing please...

Post the right thing please...

Please provide us with sites where we can get different springs and weights for these clutches. I've yet to find any. Not saying they don't exist, I've just never found anything.

Also, I never told you to stop posting your clutches, so, as you say, "post the right thing" please.

What I asked you was to please not thread hijack. It's in bad taste.

This user didn't ask specifically for your clutches, but for a wet clutch delete. I posted a wet clutch delete kit, as well as my opinion on both kits. I've given my examples, and links. I specifically called CMI and was given a price tag and passed it along. You also forget you're IN CANADA where duty fees, taxes, and importation & shipping fees aren't part of the equation. I've spoken to the parts department there over the last few months over these who had given me the approximate cost of the clutches.

If you've noticed, I respectfully stayed out of your "race clutch" thread because that was a thread specific to the CVTec clutches.

Don't forget, you also attacked me via private message accusing me of hating Canadians because I spoke ill of CVTec. Apparently not being a fan of a product makes me prejdiced against an entire country and its people?

Other than being a stock clutch set up on certain OEM vehicles, you just don't see CVTec clutches in the States. Not saying they don't get used, but they aren't a popular clutch here. I have plenty of experience with the clutches in an OEM setting and I'm not impressed. That's my opinion, and, again as you stated, posted in a public forum.
