I thought I would try the switch out today to see if it works and here is my questions . When I was in 4 lock and stoped I pushed the switch down and the light came on the dash but does not stay on do to the switch not staying down it slowly moves back to original position . Is this normal ??? Do I have to be moving and then push it down ??? Do I have to hold it down during the use of it and its normal for the switch to not stay down ??? Any help on this and how one properly works would be great .
Thanks Bob

The switch is momentary..meaning it is only active while pushed and held down. Once let go it returns to normal operation. Now...I changed my switch out to one that stays on until I switch it off..but the OE switches are momentary.

Thanks so much for the explanation NMKawierider . I like the idea of changing it out if I find the need for it  :) . When do you use yours ??

Lol..almost never.. :) Actually, in the Z-800, I find in handy when climbing any long sandy hills or dunes or steeper mountain trails where snow still exists. The thing to remember is it will override the RPM limiter going forward and if say one or both front wheels start spinning too much then get slammed to a stop, it can break the differential so.. mind your throttle control in override. Also, it will not stop the RPM limiter in reverse. For that you will need a switch that stops the reverse light sensor from making contact.

Wait...I just noticed..you posted this in the CForce section not the ZForce section...but your signature says ZForce 800. Do I need to move this?

Anyway- This might help: I did notice all the switch lighting wires were the same color on mine. The Brown is 12 volt power and the Green is the common or ground. That's just the LED power for the switches and their ground.
