Yes, A lot of stuff will move over, some small mods will be needed

Could you list any of the stuff you do know DOES switch over?

Replace is super atv rack Item #:   HDRP-1-1-5-002 for the z8ex
you will be happy you did. I have a shelf full off cfmoto racks,

This rack doesn't clear the front diff.  The ball joints inside the boots are also set further out than the stock (not sure if that matters), but it's quite a bit different.  It also doesn't mount directly to the mounting bracket, you have to drill two holes, no biggy.  But the main thing is that once you have it in position to mount up it hits the differential.

I'm all for modding an fabricating to make things work, but I wasn't expecting this to be as much work and haven't come up with a solid plan to make it fit.  If you have used these, what did you do to get them fitting correctly??

does anyone have experience with this mod here?  I'd like some input before I start modding it myself.  I really would like to make this work before sending it back and getting a stock one.  It's much better build and thicker.

The rzr 800s rack fits and works great. Only the rod ends from super atv are junk? Hope your reading Super ATV
You will need to drill 1 new hole, and take a bit off the tie rods.
It will clear the front diff no problem, if yours hits diff you did it wrong.
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Did you shorten the tie rods by cutting them down on each end to make them the correct length?

I drilled a new hole and bolted it to the bracket exactly how the stock rack was mounted and when I tried fitting it onto the frame I noticed that one of the flanges for one of the longer bolts was hitting the diff.  and the brass colored housing which is larger in diameter looked to also hit.

I'd like to see photos of this installed if there are any.

Yes, cut the ends off to shorten, not much 1/2inch
Everything matched up, no hitting the diff, needed 1 new hole.
I'll be back near a unit with one of these racks on in a couple days, will get some photos for you.
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Thanks.  I haven't been back out to the garage to remount and look closer.  I'm still going to use it, but if I need to fabricate or modify that bracket I will, just don't really want to.  maybe these superatv units have been beefed up?  I'll take pics as well.

I just finished this install and can tell you with certainty that this super atv rack hits the differential.  I had to raise the mounting bracket 1/2" using washers just to get it to clear.  That also meant the steering shaft was that much further out, making the mounts for the steering wheel assembly off.  I had to grind the plastic spacers to an offset for the two bolts.   Ill post pics later of how different these were.

On the plus side, it wasn't hard to mod this and I like this rack much better.  It's much sturdier and I think it steers just a tad sharper now.

You can see how many spacers I needed to raise the rack up enough to clear the differential.

After getting the rack to clear, the steering wheel needed mounted differently.  I grinded the black plastic spacers for each bolt into the shape of a horse shoe which you can see here.

Had to take a pic of this.  lol.

All fixed!

Wish I would have found this before just ordering and receiving a new steering rack for mine. One thing I found was that the boots on the ends of the rack didnt have a lick of grease in them and doesnt look like it ever did... Got missed at the factory?? Also the u-joint that goes from the rack to the steering wheel needs replaced, one of the joints was siezed up. Also while changing the rack I discovered at least the upper A-Arm bushings have play in them... I know All Balls makes new ones so I guess Ill get some when I do the All Balls bearings in front and rear wheels and put in the new EBC brake pads.
